Nancy Nelson exhibits frequently in San Francisco Bay Araea juried
shows where her work has received many awards.
She states describes her Fat Fertility Series, "...my paintings in this
series are quite light and gay. I thought it would be fun to play with
the symbology of the female figure in our culture and prehistoric
cultures. The paintings address self-perception issues and societal
expecttions of a woman's body certainly, but to me they are more of a
celebration of the female form."
